In the News
Shipwreck Explorers has recently been featured in Milwaukee Fox 6 News in preparation for our upcoming plans to locate the shipwreck of the Alice E. Wilds. This steam-propeller driven lumber carrier was built in 1883 at Detroit MI by John Oades. She was upbound from Chicago to Escanaba in a dense fog when she was struck by the steamer Douglas near Milwaukee. The Wilds sank in less than 5 minutes but all crew were rescued by the Douglas. She has never been located or dived, but we plan to do it first!

We have a new Klein sidescan sonar that we have been practicing with this fall and that we will use to discover shipwrecks and allow you to explore more maritime history in the future. Stay tuned!

See you underwater!
