• Typical Depth: 105 to 125ft
• Note: Cold water diving experience is recommended.

Milwaukee Carferry (1929)

This 338-foot railroad car ferry rests at 130 feet, requiring advanced diving skills such as a PADI Advanced Open Water certification or technical certification for decompression dives. The wreck sits upright on a sand and muck bottom, with the superstructure about 100 feet east of the hull. The bow faces southwest, and the cargo of tubs, along with most of the railroad cars (one has three cars in it), are still located on the wreck. Some of the stern box cars are missing, with at least one lying sideways on the deck. The engines and propellers remain in place, making this a thrilling dive for experienced divers.  Read more…, See photos…
