Sinking Detail
Bound Chicago for Kewaunee, WI., she capsized in a squall and sank to her topmasts in 60 feet of water. Crew scrambled up the masts as she went down and were rescued by the steamer MENOMINEE after several hours.  The wreck was later flattened as a navigational hazard.
